Celebrating Moonchild 6-year Birthday!

September is marked as a special time in our calendar as it is Moonchilds anniversary. Six years ago, Moonchild Yoga Wear was first launched!

As a result of this celebration, we wanted to take you though a journey back in time where it all started. 

Why Moonchild was first created

As the founder and creative director Louise Wang Nielsen was an educated fashion designer and truly loved yoga. She saw the potential to create a danish holistic women's wear brand designed by women for women. Moonchild was created and inspired by the colours of the Scandinavian nature. As well as the possibility to combine her passion for both fashion and yoga. 

The Name Moonchild

The name "Moonchild" was created by Louise as she always has been inspired by people who takes a different path in life. For her it was important to be able to find a name that could become a symbol for all the women where true to themselves, and created their own path and identity.  

Giving Back

Ever since the start of Moonchilds journey it has been important for us to give back to the people in need. In September 2016 Moonchild started to collaborate with Action Child Aid and support vulnerable children in India and it was in 2018 that Moonchild first started supporting Women for Women International as we do til this day. 

Looking back at it, it is unbelievable to think of where the brand is today and the journey it has been. How we today have such amazing ambassadors, retailer around Europe, Australia and the US and a wonderful and passionate team consisting of Women. We are so incredible grateful for everyone who have or still are working with us, for our ambassadors, and retailers. But most of all, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who ever purchased anything from Moonchild - you are the one who have made this all possible.
